Care instructions

All our bags are consciously handcrafted and hand dyed, using only natural dyes please use a clean damp cloth and wipe away any unwanted dirt. We highly recommend air drying your bag in a dark place.

Keep away from rain.

With sunlight, the straw will age and become more golden.

At times, the straw has roughness which may damage delicate clothes.

Materials 

Pennisetum purpureum natural fibre is (updated name: Cenchrus purpureus Schumach), also known as Napier grass, elephant grass or Uganda grass, is a species of perennial tropical grass native to the African grasslands.

The wild straw used to weave our beautiful, handcrafted baskets is harvested by hand in the savannah of Ghana and sun-dried. No chemical treatments are used during this process. The straws may have various light variations in colours and thickness which may appear in the final piece.

Final basket product 

The baskets are handwoven in Ghana by local craftsmen and craftswomen. They are hand woven without any mould and therefore making each one of a kind, carefully selected for the weaving quality and congruence of the model. A slight difference may occur in colour and size.

Your orders are shipped from London within 1 to 2 working days and take 1-7 working days to arrive.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us at hello@eleanorofori.com If the order has not been dispatched, we will process your exchange. If the order has been dispatched, you will need to return the item(s) as standard once received.

Faulty items

Please kindly note when returning your purchase, Eleanor Ofori London is not responsible for the loss or damage to the package, we highly recommend using a tracked service and obtaining proof of postage. 

All our products are handcrafted, and variations in colour, pattern, and size should be expected. We do not accept returns because of these irregularities. Due to the nature of our natural materials including the weaving process, colours and pattern variations will differ slightly, this makes each piece unique.

Therefore, items cannot be returned as faulty due to this.

Please also note that the colours of products may vary. Colours cannot always be represented the same as in reality on a screen, but we ensure we do our best to accurately match them.

In the unlikely event of you receiving a faulty or damaged item, please contact us within 7 working days of arrival, and we will happily exchange your product once we have received the item and inspected the damage.

Exchange

We accept returns on exchanges for products in transit or if the incorrect item was shipped to you.

To be eligible for an exchange, you must email within seven days of the order date. Upon receipt of your email, we will respond promptly and accordingly and make sure your replacement is sent out. If a replacement item is not available, we will refund the full purchase price.

With the exception of faulty goods return delivery costs are the responsibility of the customer.
